Hand-farmed and meticulously selected from our finest Sagrantino grapes, this estate-bottled wine originates from a single, sustainably cultivated plot. Our commitment to the highest levels of environmental responsibility is evident in every aspect of this vineyard, where the vines are expertly trained to a spurred cordon system.

Vinification commences with destemming and pressing, leading to fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperatures, not exceeding 25C, with maceration. Upon completion of fermentation, the wine is aged in barrique for 14 months. It then undergoes an average of 3 months of bottle refinement before release.

Umbria

The 2019 vintage in Umbria is considered one of the best. While some areas initially faced challenges with a wet spring and hot summer, the critical weather conditions during the late ripening and harvest period allowed for grapes to achieve excellent quality and health. It was a vintage that rewarded careful vineyard management and those who could adapt to the slightly unusual weather patterns. The resulting wines, both white and red, are characterized by good balance, fresh acidity, and solid structure, with good aging potential for the reds.
