Cahors
The 2020 Cahors vintage is considered a very successful one, producing wines that offer a compelling combination of ripeness, concentration, and freshness. While some areas may have faced challenges with drought, skilled winemakers were able to craft high-quality Malbecs that are both approachable now and capable of evolving beautifully with age. It's a vintage that generally defies the old stereotype of overly rustic or tannic Cahors, showcasing the region's ability to produce elegant and refined expressions of Malbec.
