The year began with a wet spring that replenished soil moisture, ensuring a healthy, early budbreak. Despite a stormy May bringing localized threats of mildew and hail, the vines remained completely healthy. The summer then delivered a scorching stretch of heat through July and August, but spring water reserves successfully shielded the vines from extreme hydric stress. A classic pattern of sharp day-night temperature drops arrived in September, allowing for a slow, balanced final ripening. The resulting 2025 Pinot Grigios are generally described as remarkably vibrant and fresh, with lower alcohol levels, crisp acidity, clean minerality, and expressive citrus and floral perfumes.
